Alifu Dhaalu Atoll is a central Maldivian chain of coral islands in the Indian Ocean, famous for its overwater bungalows and constant whale shark sightings. The climate stays near 30°C (86°F) year-round, with dry northeast monsoons from December to April offering flat water for snorkeling around Dhiffushi's house reefs, while the rainy southwest monsoon from May to November creates stronger currents that make drift diving at Kuda Rah Thila thrilling.
